Men and Women

As Monday arrives
Men and Women serving our uniforms:
my dad, WWII
my brother, Viet Nam
my cousin, shot
two days, home

This is not a day of joy
a memorial to those paid
with their lives, served
in war

We pay dues to them with strength.
