Blissfulness 

A smile, laugh, lite touch
exploding in my chest-
tingles my
body like an
eruption, it
glitters my cheeks red

The hummingbird sips
sweet nectar from
target red,
flutters wings in gusts
with the breeze
cooling warm below

A mockingbird trebles
the cardinal’s melodic song
and a cardinal calls
a mate,
as the chorus warblers join
