Trust Lost
Around the bend in the road
lays a lie,
that tells you it’s white
but it’s black
as the hole you dug for her
Layer after layer of mud slung dirt
covers like a soiled
blanket, still as a lake with no wind,
still and undisturbed
as a coffin of pine needles, woven
In the starless night trust is lost amongst
the Milky Way.
lays a lie,
that tells you it’s white
but it’s black
as the hole you dug for her
Layer after layer of mud slung dirt
covers like a soiled
blanket, still as a lake with no wind,
still and undisturbed
as a coffin of pine needles, woven
In the starless night trust is lost amongst
the Milky Way.
