Morning Poem
Visualize a sunbeam
looking through a drop of dew
on the Kentucky bluegrass
a rainbow, many hues
Visualize a baby's face
looking through a finger spotted glass
on the bed so new
a mix of DNA
Upon the drying
of a blue sky day, sun rays
on the dry, bluegrass
still of many colors
You still view
the young grown man
as the baby
in the crib
On a dewdrop morning,
many hues are found, and
you find a man turned
into himself until he is seen
Rainbows on Kentucky bluegrass, a man grown into his colors, have the same beginnings and electrify the senses.
