Branchlets, like fingertips
stretch toward the light,
touch-
Shivers as when the wind
blows through the tree
tingles inside-
Electricity runs like sap
affects a desire
to be one-
Growth over 23 years
they begin to tie a
knot-
Until together at last, they dance.
