Rainbows At Night

Night predictor of tomorrows
a moon so white
shining like bleached teeth
smiling
through a building cloud bank
rain drenches
all that look on in the shadows
the droplet
like a prism in physics
draws us
a rainbow so colorful, bright
slide down on crayon
of purple fog
now joins the sky
while it masks the moon

Rainbows follow into the daylight of today.
